Interesting idea for a concept page, but aren't turn around's typically for use in the creation of 3D models? If so, the arms would be better to his side leaving space between his body and the legs slightly apart. A side view would help too. Other than that slight detail (maybe poor choice in titles), this is stunning and well thought out work of art.
This turn arround is not for a 3d modelling is just for concept, the common 3d turn arround view is to flat for a presentation. If the character likes, the next step is the flat views you were talking about, for be used by the 3d modellers.
what I did read? hammer too(everyone is absolutely sure about it), but i don't think that it should have any kind of spear(he's too short for that). Maybe something like crossbow(but not bow, as long bow will be too big and short bow will be too small, lol)
anyway, that's my feedback, on other side - picture looks great
The pike you can see at the top is for fight against cavalry. The pikes use to be twice( or bigger) of the soldier who´s handle it. This pike is smaller than the human pikes as you can see, because is a dwarf´s pike. I know in Warhammer universe and maybe in others too, the dwarfs soldiers use to handle hammers and axes, but this concept is not for any of those universes so the problem is solved. In fact after your comment I´m thinking that I´m innovating, doing something new, that´s cool! And about the bow idea, better take a look to the new Dwarf´s characters of the Hobbit ( movie ), one of the dwarf´s called Kili has a short bow and the guy looks really cool!
Sure, but anyway it doesn't look well - quad shaped human(dwarf) to have pike, maybe you'll make some "specific" weapon, trough it'll look too fantastic. Through, investigate ancient weapons and look at them.
but problem is proportions, hobbits are same proportions as basic humans - but are small sized, when dwarves are short, like those [link] .
I guess you understand what I mean. And this art looks good.
